Bill Garvey was among the original group of reining enthusiasts who helped organize and launch the National Reining Horse Association in 1966. As one of the five members inducted in the Class of 1988 — alongside Mickie Glenn, Stretch Bradley, Paul Horn, and R.D. Baker — Garvey represents the founding generation who built the administrative and competitive foundation that the modern sport rests on.
