Wimpys Little Step

2002 NRHA Futurity Champion · $12M Sire · Sire of Wimpys Little Chic · 2011
Wimpys Little Step — "Wimpy" — is one of the great palomino stallions in reining history. Bred by Hilldale Farm and ridden by Shawn Flarida, he scored a 233 at the 2002 NRHA Open Futurity to win by 5.5 points — a run the crowd whistled and cheered from the first stride. He showed for just one year, earning $185,756. In the breeding shed he became prolific: an NRHA $12 Million Sire who produced 18 NRHA Futurity Champions, 6 Derby Champions, and the sport's all-time leading money earner, Wimpys Little Chic ($516K), who won the Triple Crown. He is the only stallion to produce two offspring with over $300K each.
